Located in one of Mexico’s best kept secretts, Zipolite, on the coast of Oaxaca.
To arrive by air:
It is most convenient to fly to Huatulco and take the bus or a taxi from there to Zipolite. Huatulco is connected with local airlines to Mexico D.F. Besides Huatulco, you might also considering to fly to Oaxaca. Please note that it Oaxaca is about 7 hours away by minibus or ca. 10 hours by bus.
By bus:
From Mexico, D.F. – it is a 15-17 hours journey to Pochutla or Huatulco. (ca. 500-900M$). At least 1 or 2 buses daily.
From Oaxaca: it is a ca. 5 hour journey by minibus to Pochutla. There are several minibuses leaving Oaxaca in the morning.
From Huatulco, it is about an hour to Pochutla (26M$). Buses run appx. every hour during daytime.
From Pochutla, take a collectivo or a taxi (100M$/daytime) to Shambhala at the end of Zipolite beach. Collectivos run only during daytime.
